Daily Anime Puzzle Games Explained: Chain, Bingo & Connections

Alongside the main chaining game, AnimeToAnime offers a rotating set of daily puzzles — bite-sized brain teasers that refresh every day, so there is always something new to solve. Each mode tests a different kind of anime knowledge. Here is how they work.

Daily Chain

Daily Chain is the puzzle version of the core game. You are given a fixed start anime and a fixed target anime, and your goal is to connect them through shared Japanese voice actors in as few moves as possible. Because everyone gets the same puzzle each day, it is perfect for comparing solutions with friends.

• Pick a voice actor from your current anime.
• If that actor also appears in the target, you win immediately.
• If not, choose one of the other anime that actor has been in and continue.

Tip: Work from both ends. Think about which prolific voice actors are in the target anime, then try to reach one of them — sometimes it is easier to solve the puzzle backwards.

Anime Bingo

Anime Bingo swaps voice actors for genres and themes. You are shown a grid of anime and a set of categories, and you must match each anime to the correct category. It rewards broad familiarity with what different shows are actually about.

• Read every category before placing anything — some anime fit more than one at first glance.
• Lock in the anime you are certain about first, then use elimination for the rest.
• Watch for "trap" shows that seem to fit an obvious category but belong in a subtler one.

Anime Connections

Inspired by the popular grid-grouping format, Anime Connections gives you sixteen anime and challenges you to sort them into four hidden groups of four. The catch is that the connecting theme is not revealed — you have to figure out what ties each group together.

• Start with the group you are most confident about, but don't submit until you have a full four.
• Beware of overlaps: puzzle designers love including anime that could plausibly belong to two groups to bait a wrong guess.
• If you are stuck, look for the least obvious connection — studios, release years, shared source authors, or recurring voice actors can all be the hidden link.

Why play the dailies?

The daily puzzles are a low-pressure way to sharpen the exact skills that make you better at the main game. Chain builds your voice-actor map, while Bingo and Connections deepen your general anime literacy. They also come with archives, so you can go back and play previous days you missed.
